PARAMORE!! (and Paper Route, Jack's Mannequin, and Phantom Planet)

You'll need to pause the music on the playlist if you're going to watch the videos!
So, on Tuesday night, Paramore played at the Henderson Pavilion and my buddy Caleb took me to see them...it was so rockin!!!! Oh my word, it was so cool! Paper Route, Phantom Planet, and Jack's Mannequin opened for Paramore. I got to meet the guys in Phantom Planet! When I got to the lead singer, Alex, I was like "can I tell you that you're probably the coolest person I've ever met and I want to be your best friend?" And he says "Well, its a big undertaking to be my best friend. Its a lot of hard work, are you up to the challenge?" I said I was and now we're best friends! Well, until his next concert...crazy fun though!!

That up there is Phantom Planet singing "California" which is conveniently located on my playlist :)

This is Jack's Mannequin...The piano guy was ROCKIN!!!

Up next is...well, I don't really know what to call it...this guy went NUTS when Jack's Mannequin came on...he danced like this for every song! I had to get it on film! If you notice, the girls in the background are just laughing at him. I found him highly entertaining!

Okay, last video...last song by Paramore, "Misery Business!" I love them!!

Okay, now for some pictures!
This is just a few of the pictures I took. That guy I'm with is Alex. (my new best friend...) And the pink thing is my camera case signed by the guys from Phantom Planet.

My Turn!!

Alright, I want a turn!!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Ice Cream Drama, Weirdness, and SUU!!

So, until about two weeks ago, I was working at Marble Slab. We all know this. My bestie, Kat, had been telling me for WEEKS to quit, and I just put it off saying I would tough it out blah blah blah. So, I did finally quit after a lot of stuff that was just getting to me. So one of the girls I used to work with texted me (oh the beauty of texting) and tells me to call her. I'll spare you the details of that call, but the end result was, criminal charges are being pressed against one of the owners. Yep. Lots of bad bad bad things were going on there. People in Vegas, don't eat there...definitely not good. But yeah, that's really all that was exciting this week. Oh, and I leave for college in like 20 days...weird...I'm not sure how I feel about growing up! I am excited to go, though. Ready to meet new people and blaze a trail of my own. Be Tara. And such. And I'm excited to be closer to a few family members like Kristina and Suelyn. Plus, SUU is beautiful, and I'll get to learn how to snowboard and ski and stuff like that!! WOO!! And this is me and my poochie!

Reason Number Like 1 Billion Why I Love My Mother!

So, being 18, I've been going to Relief Society and the adult Sunday School with my parents. I actually love it, and I love how welcome they've all made me feel. So, a few weeks ago in combined Relief Society/Priesthood, the topic was "bringing up a righteous posterity." All of the parents are talking about how great it was having member friends in their homes and how every child needs good member friends. I'm sitting there, kind of uncomfortable because besides Kayla, my friends have all been non-members. So my mom raises her hand and says "Its not just member friends they need. My daughter, Tara, had three good friends that weren't members and they were amazing examples to her. They had good standards and were raised in good homes, and just as good as member friends. Maybe better." I was so touched by that! It was great and I felt awesome after that. "Plus," she said later, "what kind of example are we setting if we don't allow our children to be friends with non-members?" True story, mom. So that's reason 1 billion why I love my mother! :)

Adventures With Mom!

So, yesterday was my orientation for SUU. Good fun. It started at 8 in the morning, so my mom and I decided to stay in a hotel the night before so we wouldn't have to get up at like 3. So, what does my mom do? Picks the cheapest hotel. The Knights Inn. Sounds cozy, right? Wrong! We get there, get our room number and what do you know, there's a biker gang under our room! And what do they do? Watch us walk up to our room. I'm like, "mom, this is a nokay. I'm kinda freaking out." So she goes back and asks for another room, (all the while, creepy men leaning over the balconey watching us) and we get a room closer to the lobby. So we get into our room and my mom's like, "is this better?" And I decide its okay, and my dad asks if I'm still freaking out and I'm like, "they're not gonna come after mom! They're gonna come after the little teenager!!" But we made it safely through the night and we decided that next time, I'M choosing the hotel. Cheaper isn't better...or less creepy!! :) It was fun though. Orientation, I mean. I met two girls from Vegas, one is just a few rooms down from me in the dorms. We planned to meet up when school starts and we're gonna go camping, and hiking, and snowboarding, and everything else we've never done!! It was exciting though, because they're both LDS and seem like good girls, which will make starting college in a different state a TON easier!

High School Math...Its Not for Everybody...

So, I found these, and this vaguely reminds me of my math classes...
